The story revolves around a family's adventurous train journey from Dehra to Lucknow, accompanied by their unusual pets - a parrot, a tiger, a squirrel, and a python. Despite the challenges of traveling with exotic animals, the family embarks on their trip in high spirits.
Once upon a time, a family decided to travel on a train called the Lucknow Express from Dehra to Lucknow. The family included a grandmother, a grandfather, and their grandchild. The grandmother had a loud parrot named Popeye. The grandfather had a big pet tiger named Timothy, and the child had a small, cute squirrel named Chips. They also had a pet python, but they decided it was best to leave it at home.
As they boarded the train, Popeye the parrot shouted, "All aboard!" The family had their own special compartment with four beds because they were traveling in first class. Timothy the tiger got a whole bed to himself!
During the trip, Popeye didn’t like people poking their hands through the windows and even nipped a couple of fingers. Meanwhile, Chips the squirrel was very busy. He ran out of the compartment and found lots of people who gave him peanuts. He had so much fun and made many friends.
While the grandmother decided to sleep, the rest of the family found out that the python had sneaked into a big food basket they had. The python had eaten all the food inside, including chicken and eggs, but it didn't eat the apples. The grandfather quickly closed the basket so the grandmother wouldn’t see the python and get upset.
However, later that night, there was a commotion because the python had escaped and was found in the washroom looking for water to drink. Grandfather picked up the python and assured everyone it was safe because it had already eaten.
In the morning, when the train arrived in Lucknow, the child's Aunt Mabel, who was very afraid of snakes, came to meet them. She picked up the food basket not knowing the python was inside. In the taxi, the family tried to keep it a secret.
When they reached their new house, Aunt Mabel opened the basket and saw the python. She fainted! When she woke up, the grandfather had already taken the python away and convinced her that she was just seeing things because of the heat. The whole family laughed a lot, even Aunt Mabel.
And that’s how their adventurous trip ended with lots of surprises and laughter!
